SAND FOR REFERENCE MASONRY MORTAR EN 480-13

CHARACTERISTICS

Sand EN 480-13 is made of natural siliceous matter (silica content higher than 97 %) having a water content lower than 0,1 %. Its average density is 2,63 t/m3. Grains of the sand are uncrushed and rounded shape. Sand is package in bag of 3 440±10 g. It is used to prepare reference cement masonry mortar so as to assess the efficiency of admixtures.

CONTROLS

The grading of sand for reference masonry mortar is described in the standard EN 480-13. Grading requirements is shown in the following table:
