<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is used on public works sites to measure the bulk density of soils and granular materials. It is used with the “Sand Densitometer” device.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This sand is made of dry natural siliceous sand (silica content higher than 97 %), the water content of which is lower than 0,1 %. It is free from flocculent particles, silt, clay and organic matter. The constituent grains of the sand are uncrushed and round-shaped.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The sand is packaged in 25 kg bags.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The grading of replacement sand is according to BS 1377-9 and ASTM®* D 1556.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">They are specially designed to be useable in pond water or river water and remain phosphorescent for several years. The sands were tested in an independent laboratory to ensure the innocuity of the sands while used in water, without consequences for aquatic environments.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>The most common uses are: </strong></p>

<li>Monitoring of the consequences of floods and dam releases in rivers: this method was developed by researchers from Electricité de France to identify the presence of sand deposited upstream in samples taken at different distances and times</li>
