CHARACTERISTICS
The sand is a natural sand, which is siliceous. It is clean, the particles are generally isometric and rounded in shape. It is dried, screened and prepared in a modern workshop which offers every guarantee in terms of quality and consistency.
The sand is packaged in a polyethylene bags each containing 1 000 ± 10 g.
Deliveries are made in boxes of 20 bags weighing 20,5 kg and in pallets of 36 to 45 boxes with gross weight of 753 to 935 kg suitably protected by a polyethylene cover (land transport) or reinforced boxes (shipping).
CONTROLS
The grading composition, measured by sieving, complies with the requirements of the NF P98-216-1 ( § 6).
This analysis are complemented by humidity level measurement controls.
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
This sand allows to make a test said “true height sand value”, which consists in characterizing the roughness of a road surface, It gives an average thickness of the roughness of the wearing course, It varies from 0,3 mm for smooth road to more than 2 mm for very rough road.
