Method of determining the abrasion value of aggregates (AAV)

This method allows determination of the abrasion value of road aggregates.
The sands are developed by SNL sands for performing the test pieces.
Formulation
The lower fine sand 0.300 mm is for the timing of aggregate mold base.
The abrasive sand is silica sand end containing at least 96% of silica sand .all must pass through a sieve of 0.85 mm and be retained on that of 0.300 mm, plus 75% of the sand must pass through the 0.600 mm test sieve and be retained on the 0.425 mmm (it is kept dry in paper bags with a polypropylene ply): it will then be mixed with the resin.
