Test and Formulation Sand
Evaluation of new binders and their compatibility with adjuvants
USAGE
SNL test and formulation sand has been developed with OMYA and Réseau Réciproque Conseil to meet the needs of laboratories and research centers to characterize new low-carbon cementitious materials. Indeed, the SNL filled sand makes it possible to test, on mortars, the cement-addition-adjuvant couples both on mechanical resistance criteria, rheological and quality of use.
The physico-chemical consistency of sand and its optimized proportion of high-purity micronized limestone filler allow, with a single test sand, a significant time saving for your research tests:
- Find the best cement-additions-admixture triptych to achieve the desired performance
- Choose the most suitable additive for a given cement or, conversely, compare the performance of different fillers with a given additive
- Test the performance of new blended cements and binders; particularly expected because of the diversification, growth in possible additions and the multiple combinations to be tested.
This test sand may in no case be used for the certification of cement, which must be tested with a standard sand EN 196-1/ ISO679-2009
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The test sand is an industrial assembly:
- A siliceous sand with a specific grain size curve
- A micronized calcium carbonate selected (Category A, FM, NF P 18-508) for its neutrality and proportionate to realize fluid mortars batches , even self-levelling ones.
DELIVERY
The test sand is conditioned to correspond to the batch volume.
